Joe Girgis is the founder and CEO of Medella Care Inc. and launched Medella Pharmacy in 2019. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Joe grew up with his family between Cairo and Los Angeles, California—a background that shaped his faith, values, and sense of community. Inspired from an early age to follow in his father’s footsteps as an entrepreneur, Joe developed a passion for creating meaningful impact through business and service.

As a fresh pharmacy graduate, Joe helped manage his parents’ medications and experienced firsthand the poor service and lack of care that often define large retail pharmacies. That frustration sparked the vision for what would later become Medella Pharmacy, and the idea to change the pharmacy experience by creating a place where patients feel truly cared for and valued. Before launching Medella, Joe started his pharmacy career with a large private company that operated over 30 pharmacies inside medical clinics, where he ultimately became a senior pharmacy manager overseeing the operations of five pharmacies. These experiences strengthened his leadership skills and deepened his commitment to creating a more patient-focused model of care.

Beyond his professional role, Joe is a husband to the love of his life and a proud father to a newborn son. He and his wife are active members of Cottonwood Church, where they serve regularly. Joe also serves as a board member for a local nonprofit clinic and sits on its Quality Assurance Committee. In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time on the golf course, where you can usually catch him attempting to lower his handicap.

By prioritizing Christ, family, and relationships, Joe is able to lead Medella Care Inc. with a heart for people and a vision to make a lasting difference in the lives of the patients and families he serves.
